Today I wandered the city and thought these were some of the best pictures from today! The photo to the left is the best view of Siena that is at the top of a museum.
Below is from the Museo de Opera (Virgin Mary)
This stained glass window is the most celebrated work by Ducio
and represents the burial of the virgin, the assumption and coronation, and around her are the parton saints of town of Siena.

This is definitly a fave of the day. This is a typical street in Siena, it is such a magical spot.
This is the church is de San Fransisco. It is hidden from the main tourist spots so I thought it was worth a picture.

Today was an awesome day! From the pictures you can see I went a lot of places, but I also did a lot of things too. I had my first taste of Italian pasta, which has no comparision. I also had the pleasure of sitting in the warm spring day in the Palazzo Publico reading and people watching. I wondered to myself; do the people who live hear realize what they have? I watch the hustle and bustle of everyone and it reminds me of home. Do we ever stop and look around or are we too busy with getting ahead? We have such a beautiful life, but what if we never enjoy it? This life is what you make of it, so why not live your moments? Do not worry about the money more than the people or the moments in time that touch your heart.

Wow you have a really good point. I think I might have to take a step back and look to see what just is around me.
ReplyDeleteHey girl, I told Tim to look for you when we saw the Easter service at the Vatican - He said oh yea - there she is! HA. Little did we know that you had a front row seat. The way this adventure is starting out for you I agree with you Mom - buy a lottery ticket. Be safe and live the moment
